I’ve been pretty active most of my life. But my fitness journey probably started when I was planning my one year anniversary trip. I stepped on the scale, and saw that I had hit a number I had never been at before. It wasn’t a lot, but it was enough to get me moving. Within 4 weeks I had dropped 10lbs and was ready for vacay!! But I wasn’t done there, I wanted to keep going! I was probably my most fit ever when we decided to start a family. It was hard at times, but I kept my weight gain in check and was determined to get in shape as soon as I could. In 9-12 weeks post pregnancy I was down to a size zero! However, I didn’t understand too much about nutrition then, and didn’t realize I was doing it the wrong way. I had people in the gym ask if I competed because I was so lean all the time. I had no idea what they were talking about, so I decided to check out a local show. As soon as I saw those people on stage I knew that was something I wanted to do! I enlisted the help of a few bodybuilder friends to get me on track with nutrition and supplements and 8 weeks later I took 3rd place in my very first show! Since then I have competed in 6 local shows, and 4 national shows placing top 5 at 2 of them! I have had some great experiences and have met a lot of great people along the way! I am always working on improving my physique and can’t wait to step on stage again!
