Who would do such a thing? I mean it’s a snickers bar, why jack a snickers bar? It’s almost sad, but then again, it’s awesome. I know, awesome sounds a bit off in that statement but hear me out. My snicker’s did not get stolen, as if someone could really steal my snickers. No, my snickers bar has been hitting the gym, and decided to beef up. It’s time to unveil how my snickers got jacked.
The Snickers Bar
You’ve seen and heard the commercials, if you’re hungry… well, you know the rest. The snickers bar is so delicious, but as someone who exercises how could I eat them without feeling guilty? I mean there’s the nougat, caramel, peanuts, and it’s slathered with milk chocolate. The snack size bars are tempting, but then the whole bag gets consumed in one sitting. A standard 2 ounce bar comes in at over 350 calories (371 to be exact). It does have some protein, but that’s where it ends. The mix of higher carbs and fats make it a poor candidate for a healthy snack.
The Transformation
As the thoughts ran through my head, I needed an answer. Maybe I could blend a snickers bar into my protein shake on occasion. Or maybe I could just eat half the bar and save the rest. Then, like Dr. Frankenstein, it hit me. An idea for the Frankensnickers (ok, the name needs word, but you are drooling by now anyways). What if I could make a snickers that was a bit more healthy, and catered to my diet? Is it possible? Would this work? It’s crazy, right? Ok, so I went to digging for various snickers recipes. I tried out a few to make sure I was starting with the right base (it was in the name of science people, don’t judge me). Then, the transformation began.

After the 1 hour point, you can serve, or put in frig to harden up a bit more. Just be sure to store this in the frig when you are not chomping on every delicious bit.
There you have it. It’s a swole version of snickers that packs massive amounts of protein in every bite. This is not intended to be a meal. It should be eaten as a light snack. The pan should be portioned out into at least 12 servings. Enjoy!
